There is Only One Good Son📖 Luke 15:1–3, 11–32 — The Parable of the Prodigal Son🎙️ Trinity Lutheran Church – Sheboygan, Wisconsin
The parable of the prodigal son is one of the most beloved stories in all of Scripture—but it’s far more than a story. It’s a living truth: no matter how far we've wandered or how deeply we've fallen, our heavenly Father longs to welcome us home. In this message, we explore how Jesus reveals not just the heart of the Father, but the identity of the one true Good Son—Christ Himself—who traded His perfection for our shame.
👉 Key Takeaways• The story is more than fiction—it’s your reality in Christ.• God doesn’t wait with judgment but with mercy and love.• Jesus is the perfect Son, given for all prodigal sons and daughters.• You are never too lost to be found in the Father’s embrace.
🙏 Whether you're burdened by guilt, struggling with shame, or simply in need of hope, this message reminds us all: there is always a place for you in your Father's house.

Peter  | John 18:12-27 | Peter Denies Jesus"I am not." — With these words, Peter denies his Lord, not once but three times.
In today’s reading from John 18:12–27, we witness the painful fulfillment of Jesus' prediction: Peter, the bold disciple, falters under pressure and denies even knowing Christ. In the dark courtyard, fear, weakness, and sin are exposed—not just in Peter’s heart, but in ours.
Yet even here, God’s grace is not far. As Jesus stands bound and innocent, He bears the guilt of Peter’s denial and ours, moving ever closer to the cross. This moment of failure becomes part of the greater story of forgiveness and redemption.
🕊️ Key Takeaways:Even the strongest falter, but Jesus remains faithful. Our denials, like Peter's, are covered by Christ’s mercy. The cross is for the fearful, the ashamed, the broken—you and me.
💬 Join the Conversation: What can we learn from Peter’s denial in our own moments of fear or failure? How has God restored you after weakness?

🙏 You Should Know BetterBased on Luke 13:1–9
You should know better. That the sins of others are no worse than yours. That shifting blame or minimizing your own sin doesn’t make you righteous. That “unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” But still, we fall into the same patterns—because deep down, we don’t know better.
Today, Jesus teaches us that He knows better. And He wants you to know better too.
He’s not here to condemn you. He’s here to save you.
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus shows us that no sin is too big, no burden too heavy, and no one too far gone. He forgives all sins—including yours.
💬 Key Takeaway:You are no better than others, but Jesus is better than all. And He gives you life.
📖 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

Gathered Under His Wing |  Luke 13:31-35
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem….” These are words of exasperation—words spoken by Jesus as He laments over His people. If you are a parent, you’ve said these words. If you are a child, you’ve heard them. They express frustration, yet also deep love.
Jesus preached, but they would not listen. He rebuked, but they would not repent. Yet, in His mercy, He does not abandon them. Instead, He gathers them—as a hen gathers her brood under her wings. Even in our sin and rebellion, He loves us still.
Lent is a season of reflection and repentance, a time to heed the words of Joel 2:13:"Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love."
