The human voice carries so much information about people’s identities that one can recognize the voice of a friend or loved one after hearing just two words. This morning there is a similar voice recognition when it comes to John the Baptist. His voice is recognized by the mere prophesy attached to it. He is “the voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’” ----- Trinity Lutheran Church, School and Child Care have been "Making Known the Love of Christ" in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and throughout the world since 1853 as a congregation gathering around God's Word and Sacraments to receive forgiveness and life everlasting.
