Sermon: An Eternal Gospel to Proclaim

“He said with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come.’” “The hour of His judgment has come,” that’s the Gospel? That’s good news? It sounds more like the bad news of cancel culture. Here’s the difference. The eternal Gospel to proclaim is that the judgment of God that we deserve has already been taken by Jesus in His death on the cross.

 It’s all on Him! He received the death penalty for our sin in our place so that in Him we are declared righteous. This is the eternal Gospel proclaimed both by angels with wings and without “to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.”
