Sermon: Something to Look Forward To

What are you looking forward to? Many are looking forward to Thanksgiving break and getting together with family and friends.  Maybe you’re looking forward to a new job, to finishing school, or going on a vacation.

The Introit for today reminds us that as Christians we can look forward to a new heaven and a new earth, to living in the home of righteousness for eternity. It’s the place where righteousness is not just an occasional guest that comes and goes, or pops in now and then, but where everything is always good and right. It’s the place where there no sin, no death, no injustice, no division, or separation.

The place where everything is as it is supposed to be.  It will not just be the home of righteousness, it will be our home, too. It is a home we can look forward to living in for eternity.
